It’s never too late to start a fitness regime. Find a set of stairs and you can have a workout that burns calories and can challenge you at any fitness level. Steps are one of the most effective conditioning tools out there. It can be a flight in your own home, apartment building, or at an outdoor space. These are just a few examples of the different stair exercises you can do anytime for a challenging workout.

Start with a 5-minute warm-up by walking (running or jogging) up and down the stairs.

  1. Running
  2. Step-ups
  3. Lunges
  4. Tricep dips
  5. Incline pushups
  6. Incline mountain climbers
  7. Optional: pull-ups/chin ups (using hand rail)

Do 3 sets of 10 reps for each exercise except mountain climbers. For mountain climbers do 3 sets of 20 reps. Find some stairs and get moving!
